Current Capabilities
Our main focus is rodent studies. We handle everything from basic C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice to more specialized models depending on your research requirements. For rats, we work with Sprague-Dawley, Wistar, and other common strains.
Our behavioral neuroscience setup is designed around rodent models. We’ve built custom apparatus for cognitive testing, motor function, and neuropsychiatric studies that work well with both mice and rats.
Beyond Rodents
While most of our work involves mice and rats, we understand that some research questions require different models. We’re equipped to discuss alternative approaches when rodent models aren’t suitable for your specific research goals.
Practical Considerations
We can accommodate studies requiring specific genetic backgrounds, particular housing conditions, or specialized disease models. Our team works with whatever model makes sense for your compound and indication.
Regulatory Alignment
We stay current with FDA and international guidelines for animal model selection across different therapeutic areas. Our protocols are designed to generate data that supports IND submissions and downstream development.
Study Design Process
During initial consultations, we discuss your compound’s target, mechanism, and development timeline to determine the most appropriate model. We can adapt our standard protocols or develop new ones based on your specific requirements.
Housing and Care
Our animal care program meets all regulatory standards with full IACUC oversight. We maintain detailed records of housing conditions, health monitoring, and all experimental procedures.
Timeline and Logistics
Most rodent studies can be initiated within 2-4 weeks depending on animal availability and protocol complexity. We coordinate animal ordering, acclimation periods, and study timelines to fit your development schedule.
Getting Started
If you’re planning a study, we can discuss model selection during your initial consultation. We’ll review your research objectives and recommend the most appropriate approach based on your compound, endpoints, and regulatory requirements.
